Despite poor word of mouth Eminems new "Recovery" album is now the largest selling album of the year. Selling over 750,000 copies (753,870 to be exact) the 1st week, outselling Drakes debut album "Thank Me Later" by more than 300,000 copies. This is not just a big win for Em but for the music business in general. Album sales have been suffering for everyone the past few years, perhaps now theres still hope. Em is definitely challenging whoever claims to be sitting on the thrown in Hip Hop right now. This is not only the largest selling Hip Hop/album of the year, but the largest selling album period since AC/DC released "Black Ice" in 2008 (selling 784,000 copies). In my opinion, this is the album of the year.
